Pageant Mother Misses Irony After Child’s Photo Shows Up On Adult Website

On Tuesday the local news had a story about a mother who found out a photo of her young daughter, that had been posted on a reality television show website, showed up on a adult website. She called law enforcement and was told the posting and the disgusting message with it was not illegal. I probably would have more sympathy for the mother but the reality show she and her daughter was on was “Toddlers & Tiaras.” The story and the mother’s reaction is full of irony.

Why Strident Atheists Don’t Bother Me

Many atheists I know are very vocal to the point they piss off many of my Humanist friends. So-called strident atheists never bothered me because of simple points I keep in mind that lowers my threshold of annoyance. I wish more in the freethought community would keep these hints in mind.

Previously Unknown Criminal Record Haunts Findlay City Councilman Collette

K. C. Collette (3rd Ward) never thought crap would hit the fan when he recently applied for a new job in Florida. It seems that the 7 term Findlay City councilman and assistant Hancock county prosecutor was arrested twice in the 1990′s for soliciting a prostitute in Florida. While I think that someone convicted of a misdemeanor shouldn’t be precluded from serving as an elected official, lying by omission about the crimes, when the county first hired him in 1996 and when he ran for council, does lead me to think he needs to resign his offices.

Arlington Ohio Girls Basketball State Champs!

image of Arlington school nickname the Red DevilsThe Arlington Ohio Girls Basketball team, making its first appearance in the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) tournament, won the Division IV state girls basketball title on Saturday (3/17). They dominated Berlin Hiland from the start and never trailed. Congrats to the Red Devils for an excellent season and bringing a title back to Hancock county and the Blanchard Valley Conference.
