I haven't watched them but I did read about them. A conservative friend of mine posted the PolitiFact article about that debt chart and a liberal friend did the corrected chart independent of PolitiFact. Looks like I'll have to treat them like I did HuffPost and stop using their information and stop linking to them

Did you happen to catch Maddow's last couple of shows? She's been calling into question the assumption that PolitiFact is a competent fact-checker. Made me think I may have been mistaken to use them in the past, as some of their conclusions (like the one you mention here) seem to be without basis.

And usually people read the whole post before complaining about something rather than jumping to conclusions. In fact I did visit the website and I even quoted a good bit from their "About us" page.

If you read the whole post you will also read the following:

That is all well and good but beyond support for separation of church and state, I don’t think atheists can have a singular political view. I know many liberal atheists and I know quite a few Libertarian and conservative atheists. A political party needs to have a platform that most supporters agree on. I’m pretty sure there will be a large group of atheists that will refute that the NAP speaks for them.

To rehash I said that any political platform BEYOND just the separation issue is the wrong way to go because Atheists don't all believe the same thing politically.

If you believe the only political platform for an Atheist Party is the Separation issue, then you have been living in a tunnel. Read their site and you may learn a thing or two. You should investigate before you speak. Thats usually the order that a good reporter takes. Read and think. Then speak.
